Extra-Curricular Activities

Bishop Alexander Clubs (in line with Covid-19 regulations)

We are finally in a position to start to offer the children opportunities to attend extra- curricular activities!

Whilst there will still be some strict measures in place as per our Risk Assessment, at the very least all children from Reception to Y6 will have the opportunity to attend a lunch or after school club.

On the whole this offer will be in class bubbles. The exceptions to this are:

  • Ash and Maple (who already work as a year group bubble due to small class sizes)
  • Pine, Oak and Horse Chestnut will be in Y5 and Y6 bubble for the purposes of the clubs. This can happen for the after school clubs of cricket and football as they are outside, and we have planned them for the second half term when restrictions should be starting to lift.

The clubs will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Please look for your child’s bubble and club option below.
Then click on the link below to apply electronically.
Thank you for your support.

Clubs in the future …

At Bishop Alexander, we aim to offer a variety of different extra-curricular clubs. Some clubs are kindly run by members of staff and others are run by our sports coaches, who already work in school with us each term. As always, we are keen to develop the opportunities for our children, so if you have any queries or ideas then please let us know.

Assigning places in clubs

In order to make the application process as fair as possible, we offer a first come first serve basis and also ask you to apply each term to enable other’s to have the opportunity to participate. We really value the commitment that our children show towards the extra-curricular clubs. If there is ever a session that you cannot attend, please let the office or club leader know out of courtesy.

Below is an overview of an EXAMPLE Club timetable. Please click on the clubs to find out more information. We hope that you become familiar with the new format and procedure and as always would welcome any feedback. Thank you for understanding that this is an example until clubs are allowed to resume.
