We hope you all had a lovely half term break and enjoyed the sunshine! We are working hard and challenging ourselves in our journey through Year 2. We try our best in everything we do and cannot wait to continue with our Summer term journey.

Theme – Isn’t It A Wonderful World?

Week 1: Geography
I will know the four countries that make up the UK using an atlas.
I will know some landmarks in the UK using my knowledge of human and physical features.
I will know how to locate some landmarks in London using aerial photographs.

Week 2: RE
I will know the Quran teaches Muslims to look after the world.
I will know how Muslims believe the world was created.

I will know key vocabulary associated with Christianity and Islam.

Week 3: Geography
I will understand what is similar and different about the Isle of Coll using an OS map.
I will know how to find out what it is like to live on an island using photos and data.
I will know how to collect data using fieldwork.

Week 4: Science
I will know the names of living things in a micro-habitat. 
I will know that different animals eat different types of food.
I will know that different animals live in different habitats.

Week 5: Geography
I will know how to present the findings of my fieldwork using a pictogram.
I will know how to recognise different types of houses using the photos from our trip.
I will know how to follow a route using a compass.

Week 6: RE
I will know how the Shariah (straight path) guides Muslims to keep the world in harmony.
I will know Prophet Muhammad’s importance in reciting the Qur’an.
I will know how Allah is described in the Quran.
